Fun Activities using the Unifix cubes
Sorting activities are my daughter’s favorite. For this activity, I prepared colored cups, plastic tongs, and unassembled unifix cubes. You may also use other containers lined with colored papers and a spoon for this activity.
You may start simple with 2 or 3 colors and increase as your child gains mastery for toddlers.
This activity is similar to color sorting. However, this activity emphasizes teaching the kids one to one correspondence.

Unifix cubes are great material to teach kids about numbers. They provide concrete representation to show what and how much a number is.
Here are numeracy related activities you can also do.

- Counting from 1 – 10.
The printables also come with numbers up to 20. You can mix and match the numbers to come up with different numbers.
- Addition and Subtraction
My daughter used the numbers and operators printable together with the cube links. You can use the number cards or used the math worksheet.
Tip: I inserted the worksheet inside a plastic sheet from a clearbook while I laminated the numbers to make them reusable.
- Sorting and Measurement
The Unifix cubes can also be used for sorting according to length, measurement, and comparison.
